Coastal

Bass Rock

Bass Rock 28 x 20 oil on board

Bass Rock, off the coast of Scotland, is one of those iconic sights. It’s home to thousands of birds and looks stunning in all lights and weather.

I love it’s craggy permanence contrasting with the gulls soaring and swooping around it. It reminds me that nothing stays the same, everything changes, even the most solid of rocks!

This painting is inspired by a great set of photos taken by Peter Moonlight (http://www.moonlightimaging.co.uk) Thank you Peter!
